Ignorance Is Bliss

Ignorance is Bliss

It would be bliss if I didn’t know what had gone on
If I had never heard of the killings of Vietnam
And then I would never know that the world is so wrong
And I could just sit at home and just listen to the song
By Jack Johnson, about banana pancakes
And sit at home, snacking on frosted flakes

-chorus?-
My biggest problems would be what I view as small mistakes
Like spilling the milk, but I would cry for days
But I would never know of corruption and its ways
And I would be bliss, living in a child’s phase
And my whole life I would be in a haze,
About what is real, but it wouldn’t be a big deal

-chorus?-
I would worry about what is for the next meal
Not if I would eat, but what it would be
Starvation would never been heard of by me
And I would be chill, and I would never have to see,
That people die everyday by genocide,
Or that people pop cyanide for suicide

-chorus?-
And the only times I would ever have to hide,
Would be for a game of hide and seek
Now some people will say that this makes me week,
But this would just make me obsolete,
Useless to the world, but the world would be useless to me
If only this is how my life could be!!!

    chorus:
    Oh, wouldn’t it be bliss?
if we could live our lives with ignorance
    Oh wouldn’t it be bliss?
if we could live our live just like this

Here is something Jack Hollenback wrote, it can be a verse, or a bridge, or the chorus, or i think that this could be like the end… like the outro of the song:

    Do you get it?
    What I’m trying to say?
    It’s different without news coming your way;
If you let the fabric of reality fray
But there is no way, you can’t let it slip
You can’t just lose out on perceptions grip
Just don’t let problems pour over the tip
Don’t let hope’s light fade and dim
Don’t let grief overflow across the rim
The world isn’t perfect; that’s a definite fact
Don’t stay pure… learn and act

It would be bliss if I didn’t know what had gone on
If I had never heard of the killings of Vietnam
And then I would never know that the world is so wrong
My life would sail happily along
Adrift in the oceans of time and space
I’d be afloat with no connections, setting my own pace

I just changed the banana pancakes line

How else should I break it up? This is the only way that leaves the ideas together.
