Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Pharaohs

You may have read from my other site’s forums that Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Pharaohs is dead.

We tried to resurrect him (we kidnapped the voodoo lady from Monkey Island), but he was to dang dead.

The reason for the cancelation was that we could not find a local background artist for our game. Personal reasons require that the artist be local, and I mean like same neighborhood local.

Grim107 and I are trying to get something working, but at the moment it seems impossible- We are both going to different schools next year, and school ends in less than 30 days.

We have thought long and hard together. We are both upset that Indy died, he was a great adventurer, but what with my hurried graphic style and his lack of programming knowledge, it would be IMPOSSIBLE TO CREATE ANYTHING BETTER THAN THE HERETICAL INDIANA JONES MOVIE!!

Unless I (or he) find(s) someone at our respective schools to help us, Juggernaut Games will see its team members go seperate ways.

This does not mean the end for Juggernaut Games. Trenches, as you can read more about here, is still in production, and I have resently begun resuming production. Grim107 is working on porting an old Indy text based adventure to the iPod (not iTouch, not iPhone yet, sorry) The designing company closed down, and I am looking forward to see what Grim does with it.

Also, earlier in the year, Grim and I worked on a simple background (and I mean simple) for IJCP (Indy Curse of Pharaoh) as a test to see if it were even remotely possible to continue work on our game. I did a mighty fine job (of course I think I did, I always do) on it, but doing that for the hundreds of backgrounds required is SOUL CRUSHING. Frankly, I want to keep my soul.

Also, for legal issues, we would want to design all of the sprites ourselves. Yes, I know you can do that by taking a picture and cropping it to an itty bitty res., but, quite frankly, none of us looks like Indiana Jones.

Wow, I’m writing a lot. To end this,

Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Pharaohs is dead (at least until the coroner confers).

I might post some random ideas on Ben.Stolovitz, and I might even draw some sprites or backgrounds, but Indiana Jones is 99.99% dead. Drop your hopes, fellas. I’m sorry.

Oh, and don’t ask me about source files, ideas and such. We have- nothing.
